Presentation: Now I'm going to ask you guys to do something a little different for me. Stand up if you've ever had a bad day. A bad day stand up. I want to see who can relate. Okay, now if you guys are standing up on this next question if you've ever had a bad job stay standing so if you've never had a bad job, go ahead and sit down. Okay, alright, how about you come to the end of a quarter, a business quarter, and you say that[inaudible 00:00:30] sucked, alright. So if you ever had a bad quarter, stay standing. Okay, now look around a little bit we have almost everybody here still standing. Last question that I hope every single one of you can sit down at, but you probably won't, stay standing if you've ever had a bad year. An entire year, where at the end of the year you go what the hell happened to my business? How come I owe more money to the IRS then I have in my bank account? If you've ever felt like that, that's why I'm here. Go ahead and...
Stan: Alright guys, the sad truth is the Skid Steer training programs at a lot of companies go something like this. There's a pile of dirt, there's a skid loader, go. Well, we're going to try to fill in that middle part today so that if you're a noob to skid loaders and you get thrown into one of those positions, you feel a little bit more comfortable before hopping into a big giant piece of equipment that you've never ran before.
Stan: But we're going to be using something a little bit different than what you're usually familiar with seeing. We're going to be using a mono-boom or a single-boom skid loader. So before we launch the entire training session, which is four parts, we're going to actually compare and contrast, today, the differences, the critical differences, between a single-boom skid loader and a dual-boom skid loader. And then in parts two and three, we're going to actually go inside of that machine and start teaching you the basic operations. How to do things....
Stan: When I was asked to do a review of the Stihl battery-powered equipment, I said, "Let me think about it." And I didn't get back to them right away, but last year at about this time, I was loading chainsaws and blowers and gear up into one of my employee's brand new Jeep. It's brand spanking new. He just pulled it off the lot, drove it out to the job site and the gas spilt all over.
Stan: I mean, it soaked the back-end of his Jeep, and it was just the worst thing ever. Then, I remembered that Stihl has been asking me to do a review of their equipment, and I thought, "Well, what the heck? It can't be worse than dumping gasoline all over the back of a brand new Jeep." I figured I'd give it a review, and get back to you guys and let you guys know what I think of it.
Stan: But, it's not just what I think of it. I've actually put it into the hands of the guys that have to work with it every single day, and I got their opinion as well. Let's see how this turns out.
Stan:...
Speaker 1: Cool.
Speaker 1: Alright guys. In the first video, Frankie spouted his little mouth off, bragging about how he could beat any log splitter out there, but when it came to the Power King Log Splitter, he pretty much met his match. This thing was lightning fast and you've guys seen just how fast this thing could operate. Well, I wanted to find out what made this tick. So, in today's video, I'm going to pull it all apart.
Speaker 1: I'm going to look at it in depth to try to figure out how this thing works and what's good about it, and what's not so hot about it. But before we get into this thing, I will tell you that I actually do like this log splitter. So, I'm going to put a link to it down below where you can buy it on Amazon for residential use, occasional use. This is a fine unit. Now, I did go out and do a ton of research and found what I consider to be the best unit on the market. And so, that's going to come up in the next video in this series where we take my brand...
Speaker 1: These all yeah. But isn't that cool right there? Man, that's just all good.
Speaker 2: Cool.
Speaker 3: How's the girl? Ah them teefers. How's them teefers? Oh you got such a pretty smile. Who's got a pretty smile? You got a pretty smile. Yes you do. Yes you do. All right guys. Sorry about that. Little quality time with the fox there.
Speaker 3: Where do we go today? All right. First thing I got to say is I get asked the question a lot, who makes the absolute best tool out there. Is it Milwaukee, Makita, or DeWalt? And I've been fortunate enough to be able to go behind the scenes with all three companies and I can tell you that all three of them put an amazing amount of quality into their tool brand. But that doesn't mean everything that they build is absolutely perfect or flawless. And sometimes they build something that it's a complete screw up. And today when I start this video, I assumed that the quality that was going to be in this DeWalt mower would be...
Elliot: But look at how heavy this stuff is.
Bob: Dude, that's wreck.
Elliot: This is wet. This is grass, dirt, leaves, sticks. It was blowing this no problem.
Bob: Yeah, that's nuts, dude. Every now and then a company will come along that's so absolutely confident in their product, that they'll let me do a long-term test on it with no restrictions. Ventrac did it, then last year Wright mowers did it, and this spring Hurricane stepped up to the plate and did the exact same thing. They let me borrow one of their leaf blowers without asking me to do any single thing for them in return. No videos, no pictures, the only thing they wanted from me was honest feedback on how their product performed. Let's see how these things actually step up.
Bob: The whole story starts when I went out to Muskegon, Michigan. I wanted to get a snowplow or push blade put on the back of my pickup truck and the guys that make that push blade also happen to make these Hurricane leaf...
Speaker 1: On go, alright? Three, two, one, go!
Speaker 2: Milwaukee tools puts on an event where they show off off all of the chains they make in the tool lineup, plus they release all of the tools that are going to be coming out in the next year. And this time guys, I'm bringing you along with, and showing you everything that they showed us.
Speaker 2: Alright guys, we're at the Milwaukee event, and I'm gonna take you with me because we got a really jam-packed day, and I think a lot of this stuff you guys are gonna enjoy. We're gonna be looking at all the latest and greatest tools and innovations that they're gonna be bringing at you before you guys get to see it in the stores.
Speaker 2: Alright, one thing, let's get something clear before we get started. They're not paying me to do this video. I did this because I figured a few of you guys would be interested in this, and so this video is for you guys. For the rest of you that think I sold out by doing this video, I really don't...
Stan: Check this out.
Stan: All right guys, it's the best and worst, and one of the worst is actually going to surprise you because it surprised me. The latest and the greatest inside the landscaping and construction industry and it's all brought to you today by Volvo Heavy Equipment. You see, Volvo brought me out to Houston, Texas where I was able to tour the world of asphalt. I'm also going to be bringing you footage from the world of concrete and everywhere else I can find cool stuff.
Stan: Make sure you guys subscribe because coming at you right down the pipeline, Frankie and I are in the process of building a plywood sink. Yep. A sink out of plywood. That should be an interesting one, right Frankie?
Frankie: Yeah, should be.
Stan: What are we waiting for? Let's get into it.
Stan: Now this one is called the Steel Wrist, it allows you to rotate the bucket indefinitely 360 degrees, has a built in grapple on the back of it, allows you to tilt the bucket from side to side giving...
Stan: All right guys. Today, it's all about our favorite part of owning equipment. Running it? No. Who wants to run it and smash down buildings and have fun playing in the snow? Everybody likes to grease it and maintain it of course. Today, we're going to punch 30 some odd years of maintenance into this video and give you all the best tips and tricks, so that maintenance doesn't have to be such a chore because if you're anything like me, I honestly would rather be driving a piece of equipment than maintaining it, but maintaining it is what keeps the money rolling in instead of your piece of equipment going to the repair shop.
Stan: So, I'm going to share with you all of the best things that I've learned that my father taught me and that my guys along the way have picked up from other people inside the industry. What are you waiting for? Let's go maintain some equipment. Yee Ha.
Stan: All right guys, it's 40 degrees in Minnesota and it finally feels like mother nature's not...
Stan Genadek: Just plowed a driveway out in under 20 seconds.
Stan Genadek: I thought I knew all about snowplowing 'cause I've done it for 30 years, until I went to Michigan into this one area where they get lake-effect snow, 100 plus inches per year. Now I've gone out snowplowing a total so far this year of nine times. These guys have gone out 48 times. This is like snowplowing 2.0.
Stan Genadek: Their equipment is next level. They've got the be able to move massive quantities of snow as fast as possible, and what I found when I went to Michigan was they're kind of on a different playing field than we are over in Minnesota.
Stan Genadek: I made it. This is the home of Short Iron Fabrication. I love shops like this. This is my kind of people right here.
Stan Genadek: There's the man. There's Jason. How you doing, Jay?
Jason: Good. How are you?
Stan Genadek: I'm good. I'm good. So, this is the little 12-footer you're working on.
Jason: Twelve footer. Kind of an entry-level blade.
